Barbara Benfield is the Founder and Co-Director of Mourning Dove Discipleship Counseling, a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry focused on biblical discipleship, recovery support, counseling encouragement, and practical spiritual growth.
Barbara is a speaker, author, board-certified Christian life coach, and North Carolina Peer Support Specialist with academic training in Christian apologetics, Christian counseling, and biblical studies.
Through speaking, writing, discipleship resources, and ministry partnerships, she helps individuals and ministries think clearly, discern wisely, and walk faithfully according to God’s truth.
Her teaching combines biblical depth with practical application, helping audiences move beyond inspiration toward genuine transformation and obedience to Christ.
